Carer Unknowingly Put Her Foot in it.
It's pathetic really, I'm not really doing so well and todays carer unintentionally put her foot right in it 😕 At tea call she said that she'd put in the notes that she'd left me surrounded by my family. She meant the cats. I'm 49 and as of last year All my family were dead when I was just 47. I have No family 😔
It's not expected at my age and the agency failed to tell any of my carers when my mother died in 2019. Nor when my partner died in 2020. Nor when my father died in 2021. In fact my mothers death is finally mentioned in my care files, my late partner not at all and my father is still recorded as alive and taking me to medical appointments. Even though for three years prior to that I wouldn't get into the car with him because his driving was dangerous 😠 He eventually had his driving licence taken away because he caused a terrible accident 😔
But yes, I'm surrounded by family. My feline family look after me but they can't make me a cuppa nor can I talk to them. Well I can but it's one sided and if I get upset some piss off. This is the third or fourth time the same carer has inadvertently said something wrong. Usually it's just accidentally condescending 🙄
