Tuesday night my phone crashed, it ran out of battery but When I switched it back on it went into an unbreakable cycle mode and nothing I tried stopped it. In the end I was forced to do a Factory Reset after removing the SIM and SD card which solved it. But then as I've no WiFi I had no access until today, to download the apps I need again. Couldn't blog and I'd lost the Swiftkey keypad app that let me type so quickly.
Very pleased to download Swiftkey again with Live Journal, Eljay, Blogger apps, plus the natural sounds app I love. Update the Facebook and Twitter apps and get Photobucket back too.
A very wise friend found help with the fault which is linked at the end of this post.
Weirdly although I tried many times it didn't find the photos on the SD card, then the following morning they were back. But I had precious texts saved to SIM but they don't show for some reason :-( On the SD card I should have had my 3 blogging apps plus the Swiftkey app and the natural sounds app but that's gone too. Under apps it says none on the card . I was at a loss what to do as this is the first Internet phone I've had and it was cycling so fast I couldn't ask for help.
When it crashed it brought up a display box reading 'Unfortunately Ebay has stopped' before i could press ok it had brought up more boxes for Photobucket, Google Play Services, Android.process, Amazon , Google play store, key chain, etc. I have no idea what most of these are. And couldn't stop the cycle. It was hard to press anything in the meanwhile as it cycled so fast. I tried forcing the apps to stop which shut some down but didn't stop it. I shut the phone down and it started up cycling all again. I took the battery out midcycle but it started up just the same. I took the SIM & SD card out and did a Factory Reset . It was 2am and it wouldn't run any program/app to let me ask for help! On a computer it's Control, Alt, Delete, on a smartphone it's ???
