Yay! Book review :D I like your review; it gives me enough information to interest me, and also enough to know that I should give it a miss because it would drive me crazy (love triangle, woe is me, not a one off book but requires more than one book). Definitely review more books!
Yeah I'm planning on doing a lot more I read so much I figured I should give these a shot since I don't use my LJ for much except Icon Challenges.
Yeah this book is not for everyone there were several times during it that I almost put it down but i can't start a book and not finish it even if its bad.
I like trilogy's but only if there finished or about to be finished like I absolutely LOVE The Hunger Games and there's the Divergent Trilogy that is about to release a 3rd book soon (BTW the author of divergent and insurgent is so far one of the best authors I've read in a long time were characters are concerned) that was really good but I hate when I read a book not know its a trilogy (like when I initially read this one) and then find out that its almost a full year before the other one comes out and who knows when the 3rd one will be out.
It was great to hear from yea I'm about to start another book so you will probably see another book review soon
I hear ya with that I love to know in advance I'm glad with this one i got it as a E-book for my nook instead of a hard back copy way cheaper though I still think I may have spent to much =) If i knew what I know now I'm not sure I would have picked it up ether.
Mind, I still get suckered in by interesting covers despite being lectured on the evils of cover designers several times at uni. (Mostly it was bitchery that illustrators don't get as much cover work as they used to in this time where every graphic designer working can photoshop well enough to edit photos for cover use.)
It's been a while since I've read a non-book club book though. Generally I pick up the interesting covers, read the back and abandon hope. The Legacy was our most recent book - very interesting book, though I did end up fighting tears in public when I tried to get through the book in town! I did get some short stories from the Wittegen Press giveaway that beren_writes is part of, but I've not got round to reading them yet. Oh, and Fifty Shades but I'm still not sure whether I actually want to read it or not. I've heard good and bad reviews...
E-book readers are a marvellous thing, aren't they? I love my Kindle - JARVIS goes everywhere with me :D
I usually go off recs from my Boyfriends sister she reads about as much as I do and we have the same taste but yeah sometimes I get drawn in by the cover and premise and then I buy it and am very disappointed (good reads is a great place for reviews on both side of the spectrum for most books)
Yeah I don't think I'm going to touch Fifty Shades of Gray with a 10 foot pole it is a very naughty book not really my thing I've also her even from people that like the book that she's not that good of a writer ether.
I LOVE my NOOK its the best present my BF has ever gotten me! Lovegood goes with me everywhere as well.
(HEHE Jarvis I Love it does he talk back to you or get snarky)
I know... it's erotica, but everyone seems to be reading it and the curiosity is killing me! It's on Jarvis, but I've not even read the first page yet. Also, people know that it was fanfiction, and I want to know a) how much her characters align with the Twilight originals and b) what impression it'll be giving people who don't know about it of fanfic.
hmm I didn't know it was fan fiction it was Twilight fan fiction weird =P well if you read it you have to tell me how it is. Deff didn't know it used to be fanfiction.
Hehe My nook just screamed Luna Lovegood once I put on its Bright Pink backing and the Alice In Wonderland Cover LOL.
