I'm peeing like a nervous racehorse. I THINK I'm up to 9 trips to the bathroom today.
It was hard to get out of bed this morning for my cardio, and I think it's because of totally diet-unrelated (but totally self-esteem related) emotional issues that made me cry myself to sleep around 1:45am. But I did it, I got up, got dressed, walked my dog, drank my water, and went to the gym to walk on a treadmill while my workout buddy went to Zumba ( I can't muster up the energy Zumba deserves on an empty stomach). Did my 2.5 miles in 45 minutes, went home and had:
Quinoatmeal: It's like oatmeal, but with cooked quinoa instead of oats, with blueberries, ground flaxseed, and a dash of cinnamon, and a "side" of 5, yes FIVE scrambled egg whites with pepper.
Made my lunch- Apple and Celery Chicken salad: an apple, sliced thin and quartered, chopped celery, roasted chicken breast, spinach, and a lime vinaigrette with some parmesan and black pepper. I ate it at a friend's house (and he helped me take my "before" photos). Stopped for another bottle of water, as mine was empty and the studio for my hoop class doesn't have a water fountain, and I was SUPER hungry so I grabbed a peanut butter Snickers (SHH! NO ONE TELL BOB HARPER!)
Headed out to my hula hoop class where I learned to hoop on my elbow and do some fun off the body tricks, then it was off to Zumba for an hour. I had to sit one song out, because I just got too breathless and my heart was beating a little too fast and I was too warm. I got back in there and finished the class, though!
Got home and made dinner: another enormous salad, this time with mixed greens, watermelon cubes, tomato, avocado, chicken breast, a radish, parsley, basil, and celery, all with a white-wine-dijon vinaigrette and some black pepper - tasty, though I don't think I've ever eaten fresh parsley before (not to my knowledge anyway) and it had an unusual flavor for me, but I was just so excited about getting some fat from the avocado I bit the bullet and ate it.
I'm over 100 oz of water into my day, and the water company is thanking me for my continued business.
I weigh myself every morning, and today I was already a pound lighter than yesterday. Tonight, even with a belly full of veggies and water, I'm 2 pounds lighter than I was last night.
