All the rain
We had a good xmas day - invaded by the boy's four kids - got a mixture of pressies. I hope everyone else who celebrates had a good day.
Sadly, our Boxing Day (and rest of the weekend) is a lot more interesting - we were woken this morning by an 8am flood alert call (it's been a few years...) and we've done all the moving of cars to higher ground, and deciding what needs to come upstairs. At this point we are the other side of the first high tide of the day (10.30) and awaiting tonights.....(we are on the tidal bit of the river, and we're in the low lying, covered by the alert part of the village).
Hopefully all things crossed, we won't get flooded, but it's a matter of wait and see (steady rain all night and all day up to now....yeah just need the rain to stop).
