[Knuckles is half a mile south of the village crouched over the river bank. There's a rucksack next to him; and, if anyone approaches they will see a row of bottles full of river water next to him too. He takes an empty bottle out of the ruck sack, fills it and adds it to the row of full bottles.
He pauses before he picks up the next bottle.]
Maybe I should just try staying out here instead.
