Residents of Discedo, with this absurdity of the last week beginning to subside, I have a couple of propositions I'd like to make to you

You said the census before didn't help you? What exactly do you need, then?

The previous census was conducted in conjunction with preparing to come up with our loose system of laws. Since that's more than been accomplished, we'd like to have something a bit helpful for investigating. It's in sore need of an update, regardless. Many people have come and left Discedo since that time.

Helpful for investigating when you don't know who's done something, right? There's nothing wrong with that.

Indeed. If we have an idea of the people in the city and their abilities, it's often much easier to narrow down possible suspects and make things much more fair.

It would have to be constantly updated, though, with people always moving in and out, wouldn't it?

Indeed it would, but I believe once the initial part of the work is done, maintaining it won't be much of a chore.
