Residents of Discedo, with this absurdity of the last week beginning to subside, I have a couple of propositions I'd like to make to you

What's the point of a census with a constantly changing population?

If properly maintained, we can keep track of those who come and go. It's really not that difficult.

I dunno how good I'd be at physical labor, but if there's any other way I can help out with the courthouse thing, I'd be glad to.

We still need to do a full assessment of the damage, but I'm sure there is plenty that can be done that doesn't require intense physical labor.

If I recall correctly, you're one of the people who aids in feeding the residents (in a couple of places, correct?). Perhaps even bringing meals to those who are working could be a great deal of help.

I see, so I'm famous, huh? And you're right, of course. I ended up working for both Nani and Shinjiro, so if it's boxed lunches you want, I'm definitely able to deliver.

Perhaps. I do have a tendency to pay attention to things that occur in the city. Boxed lunches would indeed be a great help; I'm sure those who will be doing the physical labor are likely to get hungry. It would be appreciated.

You said the census before didn't help you? What exactly do you need, then?

The previous census was conducted in conjunction with preparing to come up with our loose system of laws. Since that's more than been accomplished, we'd like to have something a bit helpful for investigating. It's in sore need of an update, regardless. Many people have come and left Discedo since that time.

Helpful for investigating when you don't know who's done something, right? There's nothing wrong with that.

Indeed. If we have an idea of the people in the city and their abilities, it's often much easier to narrow down possible suspects and make things much more fair.

So what's this about Cecil's trial?

You could have just said the census was almost completely useless. I'd feel better for it.
