Hellooooo~~ Twin Cities!! This is Keigo Asano, coming to you on this DAMNED FREEZING Monday morning care of FHUQ 86.3 FM! Okay, okay, so it's not THAT cold. But - as you'll know if you've caught The Early Bird before!! - KEIGO IS LACKING IN THE CAR DEPARTMENT. And there is freakin' SLEET out there, guys. Like, 11 degrees. With sleet. And a BIKE. TOTALLY UNCOOL, EXCEPT IN A LITERAL SENSE. AAARGH.
But enough about that! '08 is off to a GREAT START, musically, especially at the Fine Line Music Cafe (my PAYING job!!). There's some great acts coming up; I've got a locker full of demos that you'll be hearing on various timeslots. Wednesday is gonna be the big one, with Hot Hot Heat, Louis XIV, the Editors and The Current Presents all playing at one show EXPLODING with AWESOME. You can pre-buy or get your tickets at the door; I'd love to see you all there!! Coming up in February are the likes of the New York Dolls, Soulacious, Pharoah of Rhythm, and Vaudevil.
