Shifter wakes up with the unshakeable feeling that Something Is Wrong. ( And this is why: )

Shifter staggers up the stairs of the apartment building after her/their little sojourn in the Nexus. She's bleeding profusely from... well, everywhere. Her left arm is the worst of it, but she has a lot of little scrapes everywhere. Shifter is sleeping. The living room of her apartment looks like it was hit by a tornado. On the floor in the middle of the room are two translucent pink gloves. They're barely visible; mostly just a glitter at the edges notifies you that they're there.

(shifter) She's in the living room. Blobs of jellylike pink stuff in varying states of solidity are flying about the room. She's so engrossed in her work that the sound of Alice slamming her door just down the hall doesn't even register.
