I'm not going to pretend I understand what exactly is going on here. However, considering how long I've been here, and how this town operates, I believe it's a safe assumption that something bad is either here, or on its way.
Explosions are never good, at any rate.
So... whatever's coming, if you require protection of any kind, I'm offering my abilities. Regardless of our past history, the majority of you are human, and it's my duty as an Autobot to look after you.
I'm not afraid of anything this town has to throw at us. We've survived horrors before. And... I'll do what I can to make sure it will stay that way.
[And, before he runs out of steam on that peptalk, he hangs up - intending to go out in back of his house and swing his blades at a few unsuspecting shrubs.]
