So, I'm making plans to go up to Seattle in a couple weeks, namely opening weekend of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I'm planning via e-mail with a friend to go see the movie. Google gave that Gmail conversation all pirate-related ads, including:
Pirate Swords for Sale
Quality Replicas for Pirate Nature
Buy for Costume, Decoration & Gifts
www.HistoricArmory.com
It's the wording in Description Line 1 that intrigues me: "for Pirate Nature." Is that like the Buddha Nature? Or does it refer to swashbuckling owls and privateering shrubberies?
The ad that keeps coming up along the top of my Gmail conversation has the Display URL www.cdockpirates.com. Every time I glance at my Gmail tab - and it's always the same ad - I read it as "cockpirates." Every time. I imagine that's a very different website from one offering "More than 600 Pirate goods, flags & gifts."
This hearkens back to the very first Gmail message I ever sent, dated 4/5/04, subject: "yarr", whose body consisted entirely of "YO HO HO" and which also garnered pirate ads. I was so impressed.
