OK, I'm going to the doctor.

So remember when I fell off the roof on Saturday, November 3? Yeah? Well, I scratched my arm on a nail while unsuccessfully trying to catch myself. Here's what it looked like the day after I fell:

Notice the bruising from slamming my arm against the top of the wall, and the small-ish scratch from the nail. That scratch resulted in a tetanus shot the following Monday.

It was taking a little while to heal, but I thought nothing of it for a while. Then it started to itch, and ooze a little bit. So I picked off the scab, poured some hydrogen peroxide on it, and slathered some over-the-counter triple antibiotic cream on it thinking that would make it all better.

Well, it isn't all better. In fact, it's a good deal worse, and I'm assuming this is what infected wounds look like:

You can still sortof make out the bruise (which also doesn't seem healthy), but what's really obvious in that picture is that the smallish scratch is pretty pissed off. It's puss-filled and oozing, and there are tiny little angry things popping up all around the original site of the scratch. What was on that nail, anyway?!?

So, I'm going to the doctor this afternoon. They're probably going to have to amputate my arm or something drastic like that. And the doctor will look at me and say, "Why didn't you come in 3 weeks ago when we could have helped you?"
