well, at least you are trying. if you feel strongly, there is more of a chance that things will turn out wonderfully in the end. he did say that there might come a time when he could trust you again, and if he knew how badly you want to try and not mess things up, he might realize that you two could make it work. everyone makes mistakes, and some people forget that, but i for one can see you want to try not to ruin things again. that's impressive
