Mission Accomplished!
Today was a day I've been waiting for for a long time. I had one mission..... Score Buffett tickets. I made an early start this morning and met up with Bart and we headed out to get tickets. The concert sold out in like 10 mins, and we lucked up and ended up getting good reserved seats towards the center on the stage right side. Since I was there and waiting in line I ended up getting a couple lawn seats to hold on to and see if I can help anybody out. If you know of anyone looking for seats to the show I have a couple that I'm looking to get rid of on a first come first served basis.
Last night I was supposed to go out, and I ended up working late. On my way home I call Pam to see what time she wants to meet since I know roughly when I'll be free, and I don't get an answer. I get ready and still no return call. Finally I realize that it's a lost cause for the night, and start going to plan b. Just as I pull out of the driveway to go get something to eat I get a call. Basically she says that she was so nervous that she was calling her friends and all and she was sorry she missed me. She expected me to be upset, but when she called I could tell something was wrong and that was about the second thing I said when she called. She was shocked that I was so understanding about it all. I told her it wasn't a big deal that I could understand her position and that we could make it up some other time. I knew I had plans for today, and I said if i was back in town by lunch time maybe we could get some lunch. I didn't make it back and she was still being lazy this morning, so I thought I had kind of missed the boat this weekend.
Well I didn't have plans tonight and we talked a little bit and she said she had plans tonight so I was kicking back and relaxing a little and she calls me. Turns out she was putting her plans off for later, so we went to get a bite to eat and sat and talked a while. It was realy wonderful. Turns out we know some of the same people and that kind of thing. I can't wait for next time that's for sure.
So here I sit content and satisfied kicking back and relaxing again drinking some of Kentucky's finest.... Makers Mark..... Reflecting on a wonderful day. Look out Verizon Wireless Amphatheatre!! Bubba is comin June 4th and I'll be there like usual!!!
