well, fall quarter is fuckin OVER!!! hell yeah! i had my last final this morning which was a bitch and a half but whatever. i know it was my fault for not knowing all the things i shoulda known for that final. instead of studying hardcore like i was supposed to last night, my roommates and i instead watched love actually. i finally got to watch that movie full out from start to finish. damn that movie left a john mayer "your body is a wonderland" effect on me, you know ann? LOL. but it was funny because one of my roommates cried during the part when the guy was saying i love you to keira knightley at the door and then my other roommate cried when colin firth proposed to the girl. that was too funny. but yeah i did pretty bad on my econ final, just like i did bad on my anthro 7 final. damn i didnt give a shit for my finals to tell you the truth...i watched love actually last night before my econ final and on sunday i went to kroq's almost acoustic christmas the day before my anthro final. my roommates were like why are you going you have finals, and i was like i dont care, a concerts a concert. but i guess it means sacrificing my grades. oh well had a good time at the concert...well as good as one can have with the lineup.

it was at universal amphitheater so my sis, dori, picked me up around 2 and we went to universal studios. we were kinda (no very) early so we ate at cafe tu tu tango on citywalk for an hour and then walked around. they were having this big jewish celebration to celebrate hanukkah...it was pretty cool. so then we waited in line to get in. once we did we had to wait around for awhile because they wouldnt let anyone in to get to their seats. the show started around 5:45 and here's how the lineup went:

my chemical romance: they werent actually that bad. compared to the bands that came after it they were cool. the bassist is kinda cute. and weirdly enough ive grown use to their single "im not ok"...dont ask me why.
the used and chevelle: im grouping these two bands together because they both fucking sucked, in my opinion. they made me want to rip my arm out and beat myself with it. bert from the used was just screaming and chevelle was just....goodness. omg, bert said something like "i lost a lot of people this year and its been really hard" and this girl in front of me was like "omg that's so sad" like she knew how he felt...i was like no bitch! im mean but whatever.
good charlotte: damn, i cant believe i actually sat through one of their sets. it was actually kinda funny because once they came on you see a whole bunch of people getting up and leaving to go outside or something. i felt kinda bad, but yeah i dont like them so much.
papa roach: they weren't so bad. theyre music isnt so bad to me so it was coo.
sum 41: damn, the lead singers voice was so fucked up! usually i can stand them but hearing him i was like..."ewwww please stop talking"
social distortion: they were cool. i didnt know how old of a band they were. they played the only two songs i knew so that was fun.
incubus: damn, im not a hardcore fan but they made my night! they played all the songs i knew, ESPECIALLY my jam from them "stellar" (i love that song...despite the gross lyrics) and then they brought out the drummer and guitarist from the police and they did a cover of the police's song "sending out an S.O.S." that song is the shit! hahaha. and they did a cover of "roxanne" which was cool too.
velvet revolver: well, they were kinda disappointing. knowing that these guys are like such respected musicians, since theyre tenure in guns 'n roses and STP, they just didnt cut it for me. im not saying im all tight in music and that my opinion is even credible, but i could barely hear what scott wyland was saying and their songs was just all guitar riffs that i dont know didnt harmonize well. slash brought out his old top hat out which was a treat, and they also played an old STP song so that was cool.
green day they are such a cool band. they played all their songs on the american idiot album, which is prob the reason why i didn get as much into it as i could have because i didnt know all the songs on their album. i wish they played their old stuff, but whatever, it was worth seeing them.

all in all it was a cool concert. incubus and green day were enough to hold me over. but i swear that night it was a battle on who can wear the most black eyeliner on their eyes concert! almost EVERY band did that and i was like damn. lol. fun times fun times!
