Okie dokie...I just delved back into my Sims 2 game after a couple of months of taking a breather, and I've already downloaded some stuff again (arg, all you awesome creators), but there's something I've been looking for since before I stopped playing a while back

You can recategorize any of the outfits using the Wardrobe Wrangler (I'm on my phone so no link, but Google will lead you right to it).

Just uncheck "Outerwear" and check "Everyday"

Wow, really?? I knew you could recategorize clothes with the Wardrobe Wrangler (even though I don't have it), but does it really allow you to change Seasons-required outerwear to Basegame everyday? I kind of figured they did something special with the outfits to make them protect Sims against the weather...Truthfully, I really wouldn't know. XD

I'll give it a shot though!!

Nope. Only reason Seasons is required for Outerwear is because without it installed, there's no Outerwear category, is all.

Ohhh...You know, I think I have a couple of outfits which the creators said they were basegame compatible, as they were listed in both everyday and outerwear. 8O

Sweeeeet...I tried this out on a couple of the outfits from the weekly finds post. It worked~! Thank you so much! Now I need to go to MTS and see what I can find that's done on new meshes. >]

Under-Your-Skin has outerwear that is available for users without Seasons.

Sims2Sisters at TSR have made a lot of outerwear, mostly on custom meshes; I have to warn you though, whenever I've recatergorized their clothing in WardrobeWrangler, it always makes my Bodyshop crash.
