I'm about to start work on a Naruto/Nanoha crossover - at least in terms of setting - and would like a little help with a couple of things:
1) I'd like some suggestions for the name of Minato's device - a staff type reminiscent in shape and size of the one Crono uses in the original MGLN. Note that this is a storage device and not an intelligent device...or at least that's the plan. If anyone can point me to a place where I can get a canonical explanation for what exactly the different types of devices are and what elements qualify a device as one type or another would be appreciated. Otherwise I'll just use my own definitions.
2) I'd like some input on whether a unique device type I'm using as a sort of teacher/message carrier/time capsule created by Naruto's parents and activated the first time he unlocks/uses his chakra in a conscious manner even needs a name. If you think it does need a name I'd like to have some suggestions for it. It will speak and has an extremely limited heuristic AI installed, but it has no combat capable functions or even any sneaking functions - aside from speaking all it can do is monitor Naruto's actions and create a single illusion-based clone of Naruto to act as a visual aid for it's explanations of techniques and fighting styles.
