First Draft is back tonight at Kafe Kerouac! Ed Plunkett will be
performing a feature of all new poems! We didn't have a First Draft
in May due to Rust Belt, but the night is back this week and better
than ever!
Ed Plunkett is a local poet who started coming out to Writer's Block
in 2006. Since then, he has been a featured reader at the Columbus
Arts Festival and qualified to compete in the Writers' Block Grand
Slam for the Nats team in 2008. His poetry can be funny, poignant,
romantic, musical, and a lot of other things to boot. He has been
crafting the poems for this feature all month, and you absolutely
don't want to miss the new work he will be sharing with us tonight!
We will also be having the traditional First Draft Open Mic following
Ed's feature. This open mic is geared towards getting new poems and
new poets in front of the audience. So if you have some new work to
test out, or if you're just testing the waters of open mic poetry -
this is the night for you!
See you tonight!
