What a lovely weekend I had. Even if it did start out with a bang, so to speak.
Got out of work at 11:30 on Friday, went home and packed. We picked up Will at school and hit the road right away. We got onto the turnpike and just as we passed the Downingtown exit - boom - traffic stopped. I mean, the turnpike turned into a parking lot. Seems there was a 15 car pile-up about a mile ahead of us that shut the turnpike down. For an hour. The first and only time I have ever told my son that it was okay to play in the middle of the road. I felt really bad for the guy in the car next to us. He's a Marine, and he was on his way to catch a flight back to his unit. He was such a nice guy, I hope he made it okay. Anyhow, got to the sister-in-law's and promptly got snockered on a big jug of pineapple margaritas. Heck - it was my birthday and it was allowed.
Spent most of Saturday just hanging out with the family. Had dinner - the best steak EVER - at the restaurant that my SIL works at. Then watched the hockey game.
Slept in today, and drove home. Uneventfully. So I'm back. Seems I missed quite a bit.
It seems the BBB is accusing me of something again. It was brought to my attention by someone on the BBB who knows me and took offense on my behalf at this statement by - well - take a guess.
"Oh and Jodi is on his friends list so I am sure it will be posted on Project Boyd and will be great fodder there for their crap. I'm just glad I wont have to see or hear any of it."
Not realizing that I was away all weekend and had limited access, they seem to think that I would take and repost a picture that was posted on kerrsmith2306 's LJ on another community. First off, kerrsmith2306 always asks that one not hotlink or repost without his permission, and I respect that. Second off, this is the kind of crap that the BBB accuses people of, and then when we defend ourselves they go boo-hooing and claim that myself and my friends are attacking them. And I'm sick of it. I know some of you on my f-list don't want to deal with fandom crap and I don't blame you. But I'm not going to be silent any more. I've had enough and it's time people see what is really happening. And if some people defriend me because of it, so be it.
