Okay, it's been a good long while since I've posted anything of note on here. So, I'll give everyone a brief update before I delve into the more pressing matter, the real reason I've actually gotten out of bed to post on this blasted journal that no one ever reads anyway ( Read more... )

This is Griff.

You know, something just happened on Elinon. I mean, JUST happened. Two nights ago, a player broke rules. Several. And was punished. Twenty minutes later, that player was allowed back out because of a loophole in the rules that would not have worked with most other players. The one punished, however, is one of high ranking within the little networks of games, and when he says jump, they ask how high. I had been considering quitting ever since, and finally decided to today.

As for when you left, I told J. O'Connor that, despite you having a perfectly good reason to quit, I didn't know if I should. I honestly thought that I could help turn the game in the right direction, or atleast sailing in the course you'd set it. But after two or three fiascos like a few nights back, it's proved impossible. I'll be removing my name from admin lists, removing my town as intelectual copyright, and leaving a fat good bye letter. I won't, but I'd breifly considered making the resignation in your name, but I don't see cause to give you more hell.

At anyrate, you know my AIM, or if not, J. Can give it to you if you want it. Sorry for not joining the movement sooner.

I appreciate that, Griff. I don't want anyone quitting 'in my name'. The time for that has passed, and I could honestly care less what the people do anymore. Would it be nice if they all quit and left the game in question in shambles? Vindictively I'd say yes, but I don't care. It's past retribution for me. All I wanted to do with the rant was open people's eyes to the problems possessing these made-up worlds in general, because it's by no means limited to Elinon at all. I think that part of the problem in making people see the problems is that, by in large, they themselves ARE the problem, at least in part.
