Kutner had told the motley Winchester crew to meet him in New Jersey, so that was where they went. Three Winchesters, Ruby, and Jinx, in a caravan of three cars because there was no such thing as carpooling when there were three Winchester men with their own shiny cars.
Ben really didn't want to spend the day in the hospital - really, Sam and Alec were just getting checkups. There was no reason for him to see a doctor.
Which was funny since he didn't even remember that the last time Kutner had seen him, he was really seeing Meg in his body. So instead he decided to just take the train into New York City and they could come find him later.
Sam was glad to send Ben off, though he kept that idea carefully shielded. So as they walked into the hospital, Sam kept his hands firmly in his pockets. Because Sam wasn't a big doctor person either. His last time in a hospital had been when John died. After that, he was more into alternative medicine.
But Alec and Ruby wouldn't stop nagging him, so he went and just hoped that this would be over with quickly. He'd rather be spending time in New York City too.
