The cells are comfortably bland. Veronica spends the entirety of the first night sleeping soundly and enjoying it. It's been a while.

Sometime into the day two she asks for a deck of cards and spends a couple of hours playing solitaire before turning her focus towards the construction of a house of cards. It's slow going, but the process doesn't bore her - it's been a long time since her mind was free for her to use however she wished.

Veronica glances up when she hears someone come in, and hesitates in her card-stacking when she realizes who it is. Behrooz doesn't say anything and doesn't meet her eyes, so she takes this as signs she should probably just continue.

The house is three levels now. Since it's that or be idle, Veronica has even color coded it, red-black-red.

She adds another two cards, holding her breath as she leans them against each other. She removes her hands: it stays. She exhales.

"Hey."

*Andrew's been a little out of touch, and he figures he'd better check in with Baby. It's quiet in the cells right now; any visitors have left, and no one from Security appears to be around.*

*There's a few notes he hasn't read yet.*

...WHAT?

*His voice is loud enough to carry down the hall, and it's followed a moment later by sharp footfalls that stop outside Veronica's cell.*

Are you Veronica?

Veronica starts at the shout, sending her cards scattering.

Crap. Well, it was only a matter of time before someone got back to her on the 'attempted murder' issue.

"Y-Yeah? That's me."

*He's holding the note in one hand, and looks angry.*

It says here you were under the influence of a curse?

...Oh.

"Yeah?"

Lilly knows enough people on Security that it's not too hard to get let into the cells.

"Hey, Veronica. Long time, no idea you were under a curse. God. Are you okay?"

Veronica's lying back on the cot, hands crossed on her stomach, when Lilly comes in. She swings her legs around to sit up.

"Hey Lil. Yeah, I'm... okay." She shrugs, smiling sheepishly. "To be fair no one else knew either, so."

"Well, okay, that makes me feel a little better on the 'unobservant bff' front, but still."

Lilly pulls up a chair, settling in front of Veronica's cell.

"What happened?"

"Um. I was cursed - or something. And I beat up Behrooz and tried to kill Logan and shot Indy in the leg. So now I'm in jail." Veronica looks thoughtful for a moment. "Yup, I think that sums it up."
