Nov 07, 2007 07:29

Now other sites have had conventions listings for a while, and some of them you can make a big long list. But how many of those sites can you SHOW your convention list to your friends? An easy way to keep track of "OMG I've been to WAY too many cons". Like this?

What about the ever so popular, "Hey, what cons are you going to?"
"Well if you just checked my ACP PROFILE, you'd know wouldn't you?"

This tutorial will show you how.

1. LOG INTO ACP. You need a forum profile to use this particular function.

2. On your mini control panel to the left, SELECT MY CONVENTIONS

3. We have most all the conventions already. Your default screen will show upcoming conventions that you are going to. If you for some reason can't go to the convention, simply use the RED X on the right to delete it.
So let's pick a convention. Mouse over to the drop down menu. If you type in the convention name in the drop down menu, it will jump down the alphabet to that convention. The drop down menu is an exact copy of http://www.acparadise.com/cons.php, so Canadian, Mexican and other cons are in the same order.

4. Once you pick a convention, you need to select a year. Let's pick 2008 for this example and hit ADD.

5. VICTORY!!!! It's added and will show up on your main profile and your conventions page since it's an upcoming con.

4. Ok, let's try a backlog convention. Let's pick 2002 for this example. Click ADD.

5. OMG WHERE IS MY CONVENTION I ADDED. Don't fret. Remember, I said default view is upcoming conventions.
So let's Click over to PAST CONVENTIONS.

6. Oh phew. There it is. YES WE STILL WIN.
