my therapist told me i had to start paying $10 co-pays per each visit and at 4 visits a week and 4 weeks in a month comes out to $160 a month. so obviously i had to call my parents. and they said what i was thinking, that $160 would be financially feasible for them should my mental health necessitate it, but they don't think that my mental health ( Read more... )

my sister used to get really awful around her periods when she was on the pill, but she switched to this mirena implant thing & she says her periods are really easy and last like two days now. she says the only downsides for her are that she spots sometimes in between periods and if you have sex with someone with any kind of STD you have a super high chance of getting that STD, so you just can't be real promiscuous. but that doesn't seem like it would be an issue with you :)

yeah, i've definitely looked into IUDs, but they kinda weird me out, although i suppose it's worth a shot to ask my doctor about it. anything to avoid getting my hormones fucked with, right? and yeah promiscuity ain't an issue but DAMN it would suck getting the herp!

technically you're not supposed to get iud's unless you've already had a kid, but loads of women here get them done anyway. i refuse to get one because i'm fairly prone to yeast infections and they make menstrual cramps worse (mine already leave me curled up in bed and vomiting, so eff that shiz). but if your doctor gives you the go-ahead do it, i've heard great things about it from people who aren't broken like me!

Obviously all of the above should be discussed with your doctor - especially if you are already taking any other medication so that there isn't any contraindication between a birth control Rx and whaterver else you're taking.
But check this out...this may be the ticket for you:
