He supposed he shouldn’t notice how beautiful they looked flying next together. That wasn’t manly. Harry struggled with many things in his life, but he wasn’t about to add finding beauty in strange things to the list. It just wouldn’t do.
They did look nice though. It was Hermione’s fault, he reasoned. She had said it was funny that Angelina and Draco flew so often next to each other during games. Ron figured it was because she was trying accidentally knock him off, and he was trying to on purpose.
When Angelina and Draco flew they looked like contrasting meteors hurling through the sky. Angelina was dark and Draco was blond. She wore red and gold, he wore green and silver. Even her broom was brown, while his was black. Everything was opposite. Except for the way they flew. Each of them leaned and stretched as far forward as possible, desperately pushing their entire body forward for speed.
They might not of had the same goals for flying, they weren’t in pursuit of the same object. Yet some internal competitive spirit drove them together. Every now and then they would circle the playing field, neck and neck, vying for some secret advantage.
Harry wondered just what game they were playing.
