more of my lame attempt at poetry...

i remember you in my bed
swimming in my sheets
warming my thighs
you were falling into my arms
holding my hands
and singing me into dreams
i listened to you breathe
you wrapped up like a present
my body draped over you
twisted knots deep in my belly
i watched your eyelids dance
our feet kissed under the blankets
at the bottom of the bed
our bodies drowning there
together in darkness and pillows
the world seeming to smell
of coffee and cigarettes
we were beautiful then
entangled and enchanted
sleeping side by side
