Thanks to morrisa I finally have three precious photos of three -- me and my two children where they're not crying. I swear they don't cry when I put them in my lap normally or for photos, but somehow they usually do when I put both in my lap for photos. Please let me know which you like the best.

I had a pretty social three days with lots of time in a car.  On Sunday we drove to Davis for my dad's birthday.  We gave him three photos of the kids and one of my mum and Special K, because it's so hard to get decent photos of her.  Imagine them in plain metal frames sitting on my dad's desk next to me high school me.   I gave him this photo on ( Read more... )

Natural Gas Vehicle - It seems like a better solution than hydrogen fuel cells, because you still have to make the hydrogen from dirty fuel sources.

Yesterday my husband C mowed the lawn with a push mower and accidentally maimed a salamander. I guess C mows the lawn so rarely that the salamander didn't run away and its face got sliced by the blades. He put it in a jar with some water, rocks and grass and it hung out with us. Sorry for the relative silence. My finger's been bothering me. I went to the doctor and got a metal splint, which makes it difficult to type. I also got an x-ray of my hand. No results yet.

We had a lovely time at tritone and morrisa's party on Saturday. I hadn't seen them for too long. So long that they'd never met my husband or either of my two children and I'd never meet their child, mirandatime. Miranda talks a lot for her age and we were impressed by her vocabulary. We spent a lovely weekend with alumni from Bryn Mawr College Here's the itinery. On Saturday we drove up to Filoli. The last time we visited Filoli was for a bird watching tour, which was early in the morning. Afterwards we had a picnic lunch in the cafe outside. Yesterday afternoon was so exhausting, I didn't even want to recap it until now. Little T, Special K and I all went to Little T's CCS OT apt.
