Thank you to everyone who sent a reason to think happy thoughts!

Top Five Reasons to Sleep with Denny Crane

1. Well...Denny Crane! Please. [Insert vague but self-important hand gestures here]

2.
!!!!

3. He'll buy you a trip to Belize. First class.

4. Being a member of a minority group kinda sucks. Given opportunity, why not move over to the majority?

5.

Top Five Boston Legal episodes
(Disclaimer, narrowed down to 25 or so, then finalists picked with a randomizer)

1. Truly, Madly, Deeply. Denny shooting the rapist is good, and Alan sitting in jail with Denny is better and Denny somehow turning the tables on Alan confronting him with the clowns is great. But the best part is how they take the inanity of a respectable man defending his...daliences with his pet cows over the years and then gut punching us with the universal constant "Please don't make sport and make light; I don't want to loose my wife.

2. Schmidt Happens. I still think it's one of the strongest episodes. The introduction to Shirley, the backstory, the world interest case with no black and white resolution, the Denny/Alan Shirley dynamic gearing up.

3. It Girls and Beyond. I didn't used to care for this one with the almost exploitational purient lesbian story line, but now I do. It was the first time I liked Brad, and the Denny and Alan story line with the tacit dramatic conflict that showcases their bond is brilliant

4. The Mighty Rogues. Almost single-epidosely redeemed S4. Candace was phenomenal. And a medical story line that can not only engage me but make me cry is nearly unprecedented.

5. ...There's Fire! I liked Bev. A lot. And I love seeing Denny come out on top when everyone has counted him out. And I love the unafraid pinning of love to one's chest...even when there;s a price to pay. And I love the way Denny and Alan's love completely transcends the foreground romance.

Top Five Ice Cream Flavors

Is ice cream a fandom? Oh, hell, why not? :D

1. Red Bean. Not too sweet, pleasantly grainy mouth feel and you can tell yourself it's health food.

2. Haagen Dazs Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle. Sadly, a contender for the Guineas Book record for 'food' with the highest caloric density ever recorded. Sigh.

3. Cherry Vanilla. The ratio of cherry pieces is critical, however. Bonus for black cherries.

4. Pistachio. Similar to red bean tho with less of the "Hey, I'm eating my fiber and veggies" self-righteousness factor. Best when made by Haagen Dazs. As is everything, really.

5. Godiva Belgian Dark Chocolate. I'm not a chocolate fan in general, but this could seduce me over without half trying.

Top Five Favorite Fish (Atlantic Reef Division)

This one was SOOOOOO not fair! Tomorrow it could be all different. But...

1. Peppermint Basslet. They live deeper than one goes on most repetitive diving excursions, so a sighting is noteworthy. They hide in cracks and crevices and are usually seen just for a moment with a pass of a light-- a shiny playpretty popping out of the gloom to tease and excite, and then it's gone. If you have gas ans time and hang around weeeery quietly, sometimes they will come back out again...a real special treat.

2. Sharp Tailed Eel. They are quite mellow and will often let you handle them. They are soft and velvety and move and hunt with grace.

3. Cherubfish. Pretty much always in pairs, they hide in the shallows among rubble but where the sunlight brings out their colors when seen. The seem kinda cute and romantic. An old married couple with rosy cheeks. They're quite skittish, so having them hang around is a reward for honed diving skills--being one with the coral heads and all that.

4. Black Durgeon. A pelagic visitor to the reefs, it swims free and high and gives a visual show as it changes from blues to blacks and fins with a mesmerizing fluidity. Even more entracing when seen in its small schools.

5. Clown Wrasse. Most of the wrasses are energetic and fun to watch with a pleasing fishy body shape, but the colors on the terminal male phase are particularly eye catching.
