(no subject)
I have a new nephew. My sister was due on Christmas but she went into pre-eclampsia and her BP was high enough at her appointment on Monay they said, yeah, baby is coming today. So, he got here Monday evening. He is a little guy at just under 6 pounds, but what can you expect? Both of them are doing great now.
In other news, I am organizing the church/school Donuts with St. Nick event this weekend. It is 3 hours of st. Nick appearances, stories, raffles, and of course, Donuts. I am so stressed. I have a late night Saturday set up and I am terrified I am going to be missing something important and it will be too late to get it. So I am stocking up on everything and will just take it back if we don't use it. I am so ready for this to be over and I am NOT doing this next year! 3 years is enough.
We went to TX to see my parents for thanksgiving. It was fun until my mom got the flu (the actual flu) the day before thanksgiving and kept to her bed for days after we left. I ended up cooking the whole meal, which turned out ok, but not great. My parents need a new meat thermometer. That one was probably 40 degrees off. Arg. So, the meat was quite dry. But, no one else got sick and the first half of the trip was fun.
