The Return: Chinese Food and Kung Fu Movies
First off, I realize this is a little late in the posting, but hey, I've had a lot on my plate these last several months. Uh, major move, primary beloved injured in the process, and having all the stress and worry I've been unwittingly saving up for months finally sock me in the face, like a wet sock full of quarters. Oh, and new beloved's somewhat stressful adventure of getting to his plane bound for India, due to massive weather problems, flights being rescheduled multiple times, and other random late minute irksomeness. Feh!
Still, this coming Dec 24th, I'd like to invite y'all to come and join us at our new digs for some non-holiday themed cheer. Years ago, I decided that in an effort to make the whole "HOLIDAY SEASON" more enjoyable, I needed to have a themed party that had nothing to do with Xmas, itself. Xmas is a little, shall we say, loaded, for me. This year hasn't been so bad, but it will still never be my fave. Can't stand your Biofamily? Can't make it home to be with family because of the way the holday falls this year? Are you just looking for another good excuse to munch on good Chinese take-out and watch fabulous films of people kicking, punching, and slapping the heck out of one another? Come on over to our place! We are a mere 5 minute walk from the Malden Center T stop, on the orange line. You are welcome to bring a friend or SO, provided you tell me about it first. If you want to order food, bring money. We also ask you bring a beverage to share. We will have some drinks, but hey, we just bought a HOUSE, so we can't really afford to foot the bill for you to totally get your drink on. We'll be renting a selection movies of our own, but if there is something you REALLY wanna see, feel free to bring it, and we might watch it. Although the theme is Kung-Fu movies, I'll extend this to also include Kaiju movies (Godzilla, Mothra, and their like), or Anime of a more action related variety. Please, DVD ONLY. We don't have the means to show anything VHS, and we're not down with Blue Ray Disk. Address provided via private email, to those who respond to this post.
