In deuteronomy 7, there were armies coming against israel and the Lord "gave the armies over to Israel and threw them into great confusion, until they were destroyed" (verse 23). we all know that the author of confusion is not the Lord and in this the Lord gave the armies coming against his people to confusion. the Lord must have known how horrible confusion is. it says that it led to their destruction. their destruction! that's what i feel like right now. a time of confusion...Lord don't let it lead to my destruction! and like i wrote about in the last journal, the truth of the Lord is our shield. Lord, i ask that you pour Your truth all over me. let me bathe in it Lord! wash away confusion and doubt and fear. speak over the wounds with the healing balm of Your promises or i will fall into destruction. bring that which is in the darkness, into Your revealing light that i might recognize truth from lie.
