I have been incredibly worried the last couple of days. Faith and Miss Tara have not come home at night. I try to not pry into their personal lives as much as possible, but, since it was the third night and I had not seen them at school or at home I decided to go out looking for them. I had gotten used to Faith not showing for school, even though she did promise to buckle down for her final exams... Tara on the other hand, it was very unlike her to not be in school.

I went to all the local hang out spots for teenagers in Sunnydale. I went to the Espresso Pump and stayed there for a little while hoping that both or one of them would show. I drank a substance that was called tea on the menu. Americans sure do not know what tea is. They brought it to me with ice in it, how absurd is that?

Then I went to a place called The Bronze. The music was so loud I could barely hear myself think. It was also so loud with gyrating teenagers that I couldn't see very well. I found a balcony and walked up to the top. I was able to survey the entire place from up there. No Tara and no Faith. With a sigh I shouldered my way through the crowd. It smelled very ripe. When I was outside I was glad to take in the fresh air.

I then drove to each of the cemetaries. I walked briskly a ways through each one to see if I could find them patrolling. I did find the other slayer at Crestview cemetary.

"Miss Samuels?" I spoke.

She was startled to hear a voice, she turned around with her stake ready. She lowered it suddenly when she saw who I was. "Yes?" She asked.

"You wouldn't have happened to see Miss Tara or Faith around the last couple of days have you?"

She shook her head and said, "No, I haven't. Sorry. I've been looking for Tara too. Something isn't right around here... well, not like anything is ever right around here. But something is different."

I looked at her questioningly. "How so?"

She leaned against a grave marker and said, "The other night, I was fighting with Spike, and all of a sudden he stopped and started screaming. He said something about getting his soul back. That friend of Faith's... Xander I think his name is... I've noticed him acting really weird. Like he doesn't care if he hurts people's feelings. I know that he used to be a really nice guy."

I stared at her for a moment, just thinking. "Very peculiar, very peculiar indeed. If you do see either Miss Faith or Miss Tara will you please tell them that I am looking for them?"

She gave me a slight smile. "Sure, no problem. And if you see Tara, before I do, let her know that I am looking for her."

I nodded at her. "Good night to you then."

I got back in my car and drove home. This did not sound good at all. As I walked into the house the thought of a soul giving and taking demon popped into my head. I would have to look up what type it could possibly be. I certainly hoped that Faith and Tara had not been effected by this demon. I reached to turn the light on in my study, it was totally dark in the house. I turned the lamp on and I jumped when I saw Miss Faith sitting in the corner.

"Hey Daddy." She said with a wicked looking smirk on her face.

Oh dear lord... I knew for certain then, that my slayer had been effected.
