Wesley almost sighed in relief when Rupert didn't think his request strange or off-putting. He smiled, leaning his cheek into his touch, loving him all the more for understanding and being willing to do such a thing with him. It wasn't just anyone Wesley would give himself completely to. In all his past relationships, there was always a part of him that held back for fear of that trust being abused, but with Rupert, he knew that he didn't have anything to fear.
"I love you, Rupert," he whispered back before they kissed.
He was starting to wonder how close their hotel was when his mobile started ringing. Whoever it was had unbelievable timing. Taking a deep breath and reaching into his pocket, he pulled it out and looked at it. Fred. Flipping open the phone, he answered the call. "Fred? Wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon."
"Hey, Wesley. I know that I was going to wait and fly over in a few days, but with you not here to help me referee, Angel and Spike are starting to get on my nerves a bit with their 'who's the more favored souled vampire' bickering. So I...sort of commandeered one of the firm jets, and I'm flying over now. They say we're going to be there in a less than two hours."
Wesley laughed softly, completely understanding why Fred would have wanted to get away from Angel and Spike. The two of them drove everyone around them crazy in trying to drive each other barmy.
"Are you laughing at me?" Fred asked, her tone obviously not upset.
"No, not at all. Well, maybe a little. I honestly don't blame you for getting out of there." He glanced over at Rupert. "Which airport are you flying into?"
"Hold on, let me ask."
While he heard Fred speaking to someone on the other end, Wesley told Rupert, "Fred's flying over already. She's going to be here in a couple of hours and needs us to pick her up."
"We're flying into London City Airport," Fred told him.
"We'll be there," Wesley said. "See you in a bit."
"Thanks, Wesley. And tell Rupert thank you too."
"I will." Wesley ended the phone call and looked at his lover. "You--you don't mind, do you? I know we were going to go shopping for suits and well...we're still looking over all this..."
Giles raised an eyebrow when Wesley said Fred's name. Had something happened at the firm? He just hoped it wasn't anything bad because he rather didn't want to go back to Los Angeles so soon. He still had plans to marry Wesley and try out all their purchases.
When Wesley rang off, Giles looked over at him. "It's perfectly all right, love," he said with a smile. He knew Fred was Wesley's friend and truth be told, he was rather fond of her, also. "Well, we have tomorrow for the suits. Perhaps Fred could come with and help a bit. It's always nice to have a woman's touch."
The door of the room opened and Giles turned to see the shop owner step inside. "I'm just checking up on the two of you. Are you finished, or do you need more time?" he asked.
Giles looked down at the table and nodded. "I believe we're done for now. I might contact you again at a later date," he said. He didn't want to buy too many bondage items until Wesley was sure he liked being his 'pet'.
The man nodded and took the things to ring up. Giles looked over at Wesley and smiled. "Is there anything else you want to do before we have to head over to pick up Fred?" he asked.
"That would be a great idea," Wesley said at Rupert's suggestion that they take Fred with them to shop for their wedding suits. He was sure she'd be glad to help, and it would be nice to have the input of someone else, as we was rather certain Rupert would be biased about how he looked in anything he tried on.
He was about to give him another kiss when they were interrupted by the shop keeper. While the man took everything out to the register in the main area, Wesley glanced over at Rupert, giving him a smile. "Well, those purchases of ours have rather stirred my imagination, but I don't think we really have enough time. At least not for a proper try out."
He thought for a moment. "There's nothing else I can really think of although if Fred's going to be staying with us while we're here, we might want to call the hotel and book an extra room for her." He raised his eyebrow and smirked. "I'm sure she doesn't want to share a room with us."
"Good idea, love," Giles said before softly kissing him. He pulled back and pulled his mobile out of his jacket. He stepped over to the corner and rang the hotel. After speaking to them for a few moments, Giles rang off and came back over to Wesley. "They aren't any rooms left. There's a hideaway in the sofa, though, so I figure we could use that for tonight."
The shop owner came back with their purchases in a plain bag. Giles thanked him and took the bag from him. Taking Wesley's hand, he led him to the door and walked him out to the car. He placed the bag in the boot of the car and got in.
Once Wesley was in, Giles turned toward him. "There's a lovely tea shop close to the airport. Would you like to go there and have a spot of tea before picking up Fred?" he asked as he started the car. He frowned a little when small snowflakes started to fall from the sky. Giles hoped Fred got in before the snow became too bad.
Wesley nodded when Rupert told him the situation with the hotel. So long as Fred and Rupert didn't mind, he didn't either. He just supposed that he and Rupert would have to wait to try out some of the items they had bought.
Once they had paid for the purchases and got the bag from the shop keeper, Wesley walked out to the car with Rupert, climbing into the passenger seat. He smiled at his suggestion of going to the tea shop near the airport. "That sounds quite lovely," he agreed.
As the snow continued to fall gently, they drove toward London City Airport, pulling into car park near the tea shop that Rupert had referred to. After having some tea and sandwiches, they continued on to the airport, arriving a few minutes before the Wolfram and Hart jet arrived. Wesley smiled as Fred disembarked, carrying a bag slung over her shoulder and hurried across the tarmac through the snow, which was a little heavier than before but not too bad.
"Wesley! Rupert!" she greeted them with a smile. Wesley embraced her, glad that she was there with them. Fred was the most important person in his life besides Rupert, after all.
"We're glad you're here. Angel and Spike being that bad, huh?"
"Worse, but that's not important," Fred said before pulling away and turning to hug Rupert as well. "You two getting married is. I'm so happy for both of you."
Giles was a bit worried when the snow started to come down harder. Luckily, the Wolfram and Hart jet landed without problem. He smiled, right along with Wesley, when Fred appeared and came inside. Before she hugged Wesley, Giles reached out and took the bag off her shoulder.
"I think Spike and Angel have been bickering from the moment Drusilla turned Spike," Giles pointed out as Fred and Wesley hugged.
When Fred released Wesley and turned toward him, Giles gathered her into his arms and hugged her tight. "We're just glad you could come," he said before letting her go. He glanced toward the window and noticed the snow was starting to really come down. "We've a room here in London. I hope you don't mind sharing with us."
"Oh, not at all," Fred said with a smile. "And I promise not to get in your way."
"I'm sure you won't," Giles said with a grin.
He walked with them out to the car and put Fred's bag in the boot as Wesley helped her inside the car. "I've never been in a snowstorm," Fred commented as Giles got into the car. "I'm a little excited!"
Giles laughed and shook his head as he started the car and started toward the hotel.
