South Korea?

I've been keeping my eye out for alternative exchange programs (other than JET) that are comparable, and found a whole bunch that will send you to South Korea, pay roughly 1,700 a month on top of paying for lodging, and often room you with other English-speaking teachers (which would help me not be lonely). This sounds VERY shiny to me, and South Korea is more affordable to live in AND 85% the population play Starcraft/Warcraft. (Seriously, 1 in 3 households have LEGAL copies. Holy cow.) I wouldn't have to worry much about Internet there (Starbucks! Screw the coffee, I want the wireless!), and I'd be surrounded by people who understand the need for gaming. ;)
It doesn't pay as much as the JET program (almost 10,000 less for a year of teaching), but it seems like it would balance out to some extent due to the furnished living accommodations. Currently JET doesn't talk about any kind of remuneration for rent, though from what I've heard sometimes the hosting institution will help with that. I know some people who aren't getting any kind of assistance whatsoever, though. :/
We'll see. I like Japan, the idea of Japan, but Marie suggests that other countries could be funner. China looked nice, but it didn't pay enough to help with my school loans. South Korea (home of Manwha and Korean Dramas) seems like it would be a fun and interesting alternative.
If anyone else wants to come to Korea with me, it'd be fuuuun~ =D

On a side note, I got my Substitute Teaching Certificate! I'm legal to teach until 2008~
Note: Teaching for my old art teacher is FUN.

On another side note, I'm inking my mermaid pages! I've got almost ten done, and two of those are pretty much toned and finished, sans speech balloons and SFX. It's a cute little romance. It's not done for Rising Stars, but it'll be a good minicomic nonetheless. <3

Here are pages 3 (not completely toned, and the bottom left corner needs modifying), 4 and 5. =)
