This is a big moment for me: I am choosing not to do my homework for St. Louis African American History. I am pretty sure that they wont even notice if I dont do it, and it is such a small part of my grade that I dont care either way. This way I was able to do my masculinity readings on rape culture at college, which is much more interesting than the other readings. I am pretty sure by now I get it that there used to be slaves and they werent treated well. That can be used as an accurate summary of the class up to this point, which pisses me off. I just saw city faces on monday, and it is obvious that there are several modern St. Louis african american issues we could be focusing on, but it is obvious we wont get out of the 1800's until after spring break at least. Lets see if I can continue my A streak in U college classes even without caring.
For the college update I have recieved rejection letters from Michigan, Northwestern, Utah and Texas Tech, and interviews from... well nobody, but I still have 7 schools left to hear from, and I have had much better chances with them than the previous 4 from the start. The most important of course is SLU, which I will hear from a week today. I think about it a lot, but I cant say I am nervous or not nervous; it is kind of an out of body experience, like I am watching me through my friends eyes. I just know I want to stop caring about undergrad and be able to move on to the next phase of my life. I guess we will know in a couple weeks or so if that can be a reality or not. Ok, time to keep neglecting my homework and look at real estate, which is much more fun.
