I feel bad for the Heels, and especially for Tyler Zeller, whose excellent first half will likely be forgotten in light of the final moments of the game. It's got to be awful to finish your last home game against your arch-rival by accidentally knocking in an opponent's shot, then missing a crucial free throw, and then having the opponent's game-winning shot go in right over you.
But even so, I don't feel all that bad in the light of the news I got yesterday. On Monday night, the 17-year-old son of a friend of mine took his own life, leaving his parents and his three sisters in a state I can only imagine.
So yeah. That's a good way to be confronted with what's really important. I just wish my lesson hadn't been so hard on people I care about.
