[variety] Nep League 2012.06.04: Nagano and the Gourmet Team!
So this was posted in v6_unlimitedrecently and I wanted to talk/spam pictures and translations about the fun in this episode.
I've watched Nep League when the episode is in it's normal theme (which is entertaining still), but because the guest team is the "GOURMET" team, the producers and the staff decided to change the theme to (well, what else could it be?) ALL FOOD RELATED QUESTIONS and such. :DDDDDDDDDD
I don't understand why this part's BGM is playing the graduation theme xDD
Can't believe Nagano is already 39 years-old. ; ^ ;
Opening Stage: Testing your knowledge of Omiyage
Instructions: With the given picture and prefecture/area/city (in which it is found or famous in), please name the omiyage (souvenir).
The Gourmet team ate one of the omiyage's shown when the Home Team (yeah, I'll just call them that) finished their turn. I don't want to cap all the food shown, but I will just say that all of them look AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.
I just get jealous when they get to eat some of them on set. xDDD
After the Gourmet team finished their turn, I laughed so hard when Nagano called the girl from the opposing team an Omiyage Maniac because she was naming all the foods the Gourmet team didn't know. YOU ARE A GENIUS NABI. A GENIUS.
Then I laughed even more because the staff gave the Home team two different omiyages to eat whereas the Gourmet team got only one.
1st Stage: What/Where is this?
Instructions: What is the given name of this particular food shown?
Because I know the answer, I decided to cap this. DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT THIS IS CALLED?
MISTER DOUGHNUTS. I WILL EAT A PON de RING WHEN I GO TO JAPAN.
Apparently, its like mocchi, in doughnut form. *A*
And sadly one of the home members got it wrong.
2nd Stage: Which food has more calories?
Instructions: Don't let your person eat the food with the higher calories!
I found this one the most entertaining because no one really needs to know much JPN (just know your foods :D). And plus, you get to test your knowledge ;D
I let out a small evil giggle because I am glad the staff decided to make Nagano the person on the screen. xDDDDD
And when Nagano saw that, he said 太りたくない!
I DON'T WANNA GET FAT !
(oh but we do love to see you suffer Nabino ♥)
But this game is crazy though! The foods given differ at the most 10 kcal OAO;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; They are ridiculously close in kcal count. I am truly amazed when the teams choose the healthier one when the difference is that slim.
Did Nagano get fat? Well, you should go and watch it ;D

3rd Stage: Give me all five.
No particular instruction for the answer, just don't let the timer run out on your turn when answering the question.

Question 2: Name the 5 makers (Brand names) of each of these bottled green tea.
This one was rather fun for me too because I am a green tea drinker and I've purchased all of these before and I'm sure you guys have seen CMs of these popular Brands which Johnnys normally are endorsed by ;D
(btw, I'm entertained by how the guy in the RED always has his back to the camera during his thinking process xD)
GOURMET TEAM's TURN
Question 1: Name the 5 raw produce from which these foods are made from.
1) tofu 2) pickled radish 3) bamboo shoots 4) dried gourd 5) rice vermicelli
(NOTICE HOW THE ANSWERS ARE PRETTY MUCH IN THE QUESTION? LOL)
Between these rounds, I love how the opposing team make fun of how the Gourmet team looks really nervous since the points are 140 to 40. xD
Question 2: Give the name of these 5 famous Japanese chefs.
Now, this one really made me think because I did recognize three of them because some were guests on many JE variety shows (such as: Arashi ni Shiyagare and a Kanjani8 Variety show).
Now the points are 140 to 130. ITs not looking so good for Nagano's team.
And like all episodes (mostly like the ones I watch), the host (the guy whose voice you only hear but can't see the face) always asks the guests to give each other words of encouragement. This time, he asks the "Omiyage Maniac" to give Nagano words of encouragement. ;D
I sadly don't know what the girl said, but the way Nagano responded was utterly adorable xD

Bounus Stage: Car Simulator
This stage seems the most fun in terms of variety show stages (I know Tokyo friend park and VS Arashi would probably beat it though. xD)
I love the regulars on this show and how they react to the screen.
I'm unsure but I think the guy with his hands up is yelling,
DON'T DETOUR! DON'T DETOUR! DON'T DETOUR! DON'T DETOUR!
(because they know how the staff loves to mess with them xD)
So... yeah. xD sorry, I'm not fluent at all. :p
So that's the end! There is the NEP LITTLE LEAGUE SEGMENT but I think its pretty self explanatory. :3
