Dear Yuletide Santa,

Hi there. Before you even start writing a single word for me, I'd like to give you a big ol' thank you! No matter what you write, I am certain that I'm going to love it! All of these fandoms are small, but still very close to my heart, so the fact that I'd be getting any fic at all for them is a great delight to me. :)

In general, I like OT3s. I'm not married to either het or slash and usually just want everyone to be happy, which is why I tend to go for OT3s. I also really like gen. I'm not a huge shipper in any sense of the word and what I really look for is more description of characters, their relationships and their feelings. Smut is not something I really crave. I'm more of a PG or PG-13 kinda girl. I love angst, but I do love closure and happy endings. Angst makes things realistic, but I'd like the characters to ultimately be in a good place. I like my characters to be IC, even if the situations they are in are not. So if they're in an AU world, I'd still like them to be recognizable, you know? I'm not against character introspection, since I love to understand motivations, but I do like for things to happen in the fic I read and for action to also take place. Finally, I am definitely not stubborn in the kind of fics I enjoy. I'm always up for unique stuff and would much rather my dear Yuletide writer feels comfortable writing what they want, rather than trying to fit within a strict paradigm that I give them. Surprise me! :)

There's not really too much I won't read, so don't worry about that. The only thing I'd stress is that if you're going to write within a given universe, try to have it stick to the canon. I don't like to veer too off-course, unless you provide a reasonable explanation in the fic itself. Other than that...go wild!

Fandom: Shenmue
Characters: Nozomi Harasaki, Ryo Hazuki
Details: Ryo/Nozomi; preferably not one-sided or unrequited on Nozomi's part.

I loved the dynamic between Ryo and Nozomi in Shenmue; I felt it was one of the most real relationships Ryo has ever had and no other woman has seemed to hold his affections the way she did, even if all we only saw this in platonic terms for certain. Whether it is a look at Ryo and Nozomi's life in Yokusuka before Iwao’s death or a future fic taking place during or after Ryo’s travels in Hong Kong, I would just like to see some sort of study of their relationship that explores Ryo’s feelings and shows that he did care about her and always has. Anything about Nozomi in Canada with her grandmother would be interesting as well.

I didn't request them specifically but inclusion of either Gui-Zhang or Xiuying would also make me very happy. Perhaps one of them is able to re-unite Ryo and Nozomi in some way, even if unintentionally.

Since this is a fairly small fandom, even compared to the others I've requested, I have a few resources that might help you get started. Even if you aren't planning on writing a Shenmue fic for me, I'd really recommend getting acquainted with Shenmue, because it's totally worth it! My whole family is mad about this game!! :)

Fandom: Starcraft
Characters: Any
Details: A look into the life of Raynor's Raiders (before or after the events of Starcraft 2), especially the rapport between Matt Horner and Jim Raynor.

I found the relationship between Matt Horner and Jim Raynor to be fascinating in Starcraft 2 and would love to see more of it - either as slash or simply friendship - with the escapades of Raynor's Raiders in the backdrop. I would love to see more backstory of what Matt and Jim did before the events of Starcraft 2 or possible speculation on what they will do after the final scene.

If neither of those characters work for you, I am really up for anything Starcraft-related, especially anything delving into the mythology or possibly Kerrigan angst. I prefer my Kerrigan to be fierce like she was at the end of Brood War, not so much how she was portrayed in Starcraft 2, but again if you're able to logically explain her actions, that would be great! Speculation on the future, such as the events of Heart of the Swarm or some Zeratul-centric fic would also be greatly appreciated.

Fandom: Toki o Kakeru Shoujo | The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Characters: Tsuda Kousuke, Mamiya Chiaki, Konno Makoto
Details: A pre-movie fic of Kousuke, Chiaki and Makoto bonding would be right up my alley. The little montage of clips we were given made me want to see their full-fledged friendship so badly.

I ached to see more of the wonderful Makoto/Chiaki/Kousuke dynamic in the movie, even more than what we were given. I also kind of ship them all together, I can see hints of Chiaki/Kousuke, Kousuke/Makoto and of course Chiaki/Makoto throughout the film, so feel free to OT3 them I will be very happy with that.

I would also love to read anything from Kousuke's perspective within the film's timeline. We don't get to see much of that and I actually believe that he knew a lot more than he admitted to. Perhaps a fic where he was aware of the time-travelling all the time or at the very least suspected it? Or maybe he used the power too at one point and neither Makoto or Chiaki even know about it? Regardless, if these three characters are involved I'm certain to love it.

Thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to my lovely Yuletide gift. I guess if you have any burning questions, feel free to ask our friendly neighbourhood Yuletide mods to contact me. :)
