A character survey that was far too easy to finish for this guy...

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Enoch is an inch shy of six feet tall, with a solid, broad-shouldered frame. He's muscular, but not so much as to impede his agility.

2. How old is he?

Immortal. Chronologically, he's about four hundred years old. Physically, he's around thirty five.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

Enoch normally has a good posture. He doesn't slouch in normal circumstances, but when tired or in times of painful uncertainty he may "deflate", sometimes only on one side and sometimes on both. Most of the time, it's his head more than his shoulders that gives away his distress unless he's in spectacularly bad shape.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

He's extremely fit and in superb physical health, more so than an ordinary human. More than three centuries without his system being affected by age, along with an angelic constitution developing, has left him with a particularly resilient body, both against blows and disease.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Surprisingly for his size, Enoch's movements are fluid and graceful. Especially in combat. He's had three hundred years of practice with the Arch, and it shows. His hands adjust position rapidly, his body moves with the awkward length of the weapon effortlessly. When running, he does seem to move his hips a bit too much, making his run less efficient than it should be, and opening him up to being knocked down. When cautious, Enoch is far less fluid. His steps are shorter and his shoulders are tighter. All the same, he appears to walk with some sort of ease, making even his caution appear casual.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?

For the first question, people have compared his face to Brad Pitt's. Make of that what you will. For the second, Enoch recognizes that he's handsome, but really, he's too old to care much about his own appearance. He finds it somewhat amusing when someone shows obvious signs of finding him attractive.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

Oddly enough, Enoch lacks any scars, at least on his face. His skin is a very light...not quite tan-brown. It's just about as light as a Middle Eastern complexion can get. He appears outright pale (though never as light as the truly pale Lucifel) in certain lighting conditions.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.

Enoch's hair is light blond, feathery and light when dry and clean, heavy and stringy when dirty or wet. He wears it long, a bit past his shoulders. It seems to fall in a naturally swept-back style, though there are a few shorter strands that frame his face and one or two that fall over his forehead. In all, he does very little to maintain it, only keeping it relatively clean and untangled so it doesn't interfere with him.

9. What color are his eyes?

A bright blue.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Not really, unless you can see auras in which case he has a flame-like one that sometimes is visible on the back of his neck, beneath his hair. It is unknown what dictates when it appears and when it doesn't. After watching Armaros's dance (between fighting the pelamartyrs trying to kill him), it becomes the same color as Armaros's aura, and when Armaros is on his final armor stage in the fight, it is purple. Perhaps the cooler colors are signs of wavering conviction. When he is very angry, it flares up and out.

11. What are his chief tension centers?

His shoulderblades, for the most part, and his shoulders and neck to a lesser extent.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?

Before his adventure, he wore various robes that fit his station as priest and scribe, as well as a very Roman-esque set of armor for battle, presumably for sparring with Armaros due to the other's angelic strength. Recently, all he's worn is his armor and the jeans and sandals under it, sometimes with a traveling cloak to protect him from the sun and to keep his profile low without the need to dismiss his armor. The jeans are a designer brand from modern times, and their denim is quite soft and flexible. They may be modified to be indestructible, as it seems the same pair has held up for three hundred sixty five years of desert travel, and the Special outfit, entirely denim, takes no damage whatsoever.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?

I assume Lucifel tailored them specifically to fit him. If he was uncomfortable at the fit (having worn loose garments most of his life), he's had three centuries to get used to them. I'd imagine he likes them now.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

Free time? When he has it, he doesn't change for it. He may neglect to summon his armor if he feels safe, but that's about it.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Commando most of the time, but if he feels sweat chafing may be a problem he'll wear a light loincloth.
[Meridian -> Animus: He's made a loincloth and wears it in the summer.]

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Enoch's voice is a bit light, and gives the impression of soft-spoken boldness. His consonants aren't harsh or sharp, but never mumbled, and his vowels are round and clear. There's a breathiness to his voice that gives it an overall soft quality, but it's an undertone - his voice is clear enough to be distinctly understood. As a scribe, he is well aware of the need for clear pronunciation.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?

Enoch's tone is an even one, wavering only in moments of extreme emotion. He isn't verbose in most situations, though you wouldn't know this from his writing style. He engages in conversation easily enough, though, and when he does speak, the words have a tendency to come out easily, perhaps with some hesitation to weigh his words.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

As stated before, he almost never hits a consonant sharply, and his vowels are open and clear. He tends to fill pauses with silence rather than filler, though he may use a single filler noise at times.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?

Pre-Babel common tongue, perfect fluency, perfect literacy.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

Not applicable.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?

He does need to think about his words in most situations, though he tends to think of them quickly enough that I'm not quite sure how to answer this.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

He's quite eloquent when he needs to speak, and this can endure under quite a bit of duress. There are moments of extreme emotion, however, where words will fail him.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?

Both, though more book-smart. He's definitely the intellectual type, and has a love of knowledge and learning, both through doing and hearing.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?

He can do with either - he learns extremely quickly when his life depends on it, leading to him picking up riding a motorcycle with only spoken instruction to start him off. He also picked up three relatively unusual weapons with ease, due to needing to use them. However, complex puzzle situations require him to deliberate.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

He tends more towards emotional and idealistic. He's a passive optimist that usually believes he can sort things out, making doubts on this difficult for him to deal with. However, he has solid logical and practical capabilities if he's given time to calm down and think about the situation.
[Animus: His optimism is becoming more and more confined...but may make a return on learning the truth.]

4. What kind of education has the character had?

He was raised as a priest and a scribe. So, more or less: reading and writing, basic arithmetic, public speaking/orator skills, religion.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?

Reading and writing, more or less. This is a valid area of expertise in a largely illiterate time period. What is he interested in learning more about? Everything.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?

He's an extrovert who was forced into introvert behavior. He can be a little awkward as a result.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

His temperament was once fairly even, but this has deteriorated into mood swings over time - the right triggers can provoke him to a cheerful or melancholy disposition easily. However, he's quite good at putting on an even front, as his expressions can be quite subtle. He's laid-back when he can afford to be, but very driven when he has a goal to stand for.
[Animus: His emotions are more volatile due to trauma and lack of security. They may stabilize on learning the truth.]

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

Suspicious, and yet relaxed. He keeps alert without tensing up too much, unless the new person or situation seems hostile. If you're coming across as hostile, you'll know for sure.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?

React, but with quite a lot of momentum. Once you've gotten him to react, he's not going to stop until he's resolved the problem.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?

Fight. Not to say he's an aggressive person, but he can become aggressive when directly threatened, and has conditioned himself to try to resolve/eliminate an immediate threat before trying to avoid it, due to Ramps being rather persistent. Potential threats, he would rather avoid, however.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

He prefers intellectual humor and plays on words. Dark humor works only in the right mood, which is very unpredictable. He can appreciate the occasional dirty joke, but make sure it's clever!

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?

Maybe PTSD from repeated deaths/having to kill human beings? Whether he does or doesn't have PTSD, he most certainly has some form of (situational) depression, though his driven nature makes manifestation of this only obvious at its low points. I'm also not sure if his clinginess and tendency to attach hard to constant companions like Lucifel could be called anything or if that's a symptom of something I've already named.
[Animus: PTSD for sure. Just try presenting him with a Gnarl, threaten him with flaying, or show him a skinned humanoid. Or covering him in organs, as of his return to Meridian. Also considering Stockholm syndrome, though his personality makes it very hard to definitively pin this one down.]

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

All of them. Enoch is a product of his life as a whole rather than specific moments within it. The birth of his son most certainly had an effect on his paternal nature, but he probably learned this from his own father. The moment he approached Lucifel at the eighty-year mark during his search for the Tower comes to mind as the moment he began to cling to his immortal companions.

14. What does he fear?

Being without his immortal allies, being alone or doomed to be alone; going insane; failing his mission; The Darkness and vileness; losing his faith.
[Meridian: Losing Armaros]
[Animus: Darkballs, Gnarls, learning Armaros is gone forever(partially realized), the tower making some sort of terrible change to his body he won't be aware of, losing his free will]

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?

To complete his mission. He's a little iffy about reincarnation at this point since he's not sure he's even completely human anymore, so he's settled for returning to his duties on the Council and not having to deal directly with Earth/mortals again.
[Meridian-specific: To see Armaros back to good health, to look into saving him from The Darkness in his own world, to make Meridian as safe as he possibly can so it can act as a sanctuary for Armaros - this means making sure Sola is secure, preferably by allying with Zeph.]
[Animus: To find out where Armaros is. To keep the children of the tower safe from harm. To find escape and/or peace, to see the restoration of their worlds, open communication with the admins, to protect Lucifel and Raphael.]

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?

He'll tell plenty of people most things, if they come up, and a lack of speech is less a matter of not wanting people to find out and more not wanting to discuss the subject at all. Specifically, though, he doesn't want Lucifel to learn of his doubts, because he doesn't want Lucifel to doubt him.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.

He got along very well with the both of them, and dearly loved his father.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Several, only his brother Azrial is named in the Book of Jubilees. They probably got along.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?

Not anymore. They're all dead now. Though it seems Methuselah is immortal or otherwise outside of time in some manner; ever since he saved him, Enoch has hoped to find him in Heaven and spend the time with him he'd lost.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?

Not really.
[Meridian: Naoya is unrelated by blood but is Cain in spirit so he considers him family]
[Animus: Same thing for Naoya here. Also Tohko is kind of like a daughter or little sister to him. Zett calls him his uncle, and he's rolling with it.]

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

As of now, he feels closest to Lucifel, who was the first angel he met when waking up in Heaven. He would feel this way about Armaros were his memories not dulled by time.
[Meridian: He has rekindled this friendship with Armaros, and now he and Lucifel are tied.]

6. Does he have other close friends?

Uriel, Gabriel, and Raphael are very dependable, though he isn't emotionally attached to them on anywhere near the same level as Lucifel. [Meridian: Or Armaros.]
[Animus: Sola may well see some of the clinginess that comes from being one of his immortal friends. He is quickly forming a bond with Tohko. Raphael may come to see similar closeness to Lucifel.]

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?

Tough question. He makes friends too easily, and he no longer wants to. He makes an effort not to get attached, but if forced to stay with someone, bonding is inevitable unless the other goes out of their way to make an enemy of Enoch.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?

"Family" has become a transient thing for him, in a time when he needs constants. With mortality out of the picture, family is a definite winner, but he wouldn't try to put his friends too far back, because when he cares in any way, he cares deeply.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?

Single and a widower multiple times due to his immortality.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

...No?
[Meridian: Yes, with Armaros.]
[Animus: I suppose his relationship with Armaros still counts towards this despite his absence.]
(In general, he would be likely to return romantic interest from someone he is very attached to overall. He craves affection from such people, and will often rise to return what they give or want to give. With someone he feels so strongly for, after all, the way he loves them isn't as important as the fact that he loves them, and he's so very eager to please those he holds dear.)

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?

Someone he can't remember, and some unfortunate cases along the way to the Tower.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?

He wants a deep emotional connection. He must be able to relate to them in some way, and there's little more important than being able to relax and share a laugh together.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

Yes, many through the years. He loves children, and it's with children that he has to try hardest not to become attached. Unfortunately, he has never been able to raise a child to be older than seven or so, due to various factors that kept him on the move during the search for the Tower. Most of them are dead, if not all - save Methuselah, whom he now wants to develop a bond with, if he can.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?

I suppose one can count Azazel as a personal enemy, but overall, his enemies are Heaven's enemies; or in other words, denizens of The Darkness.
[Animus: Ruana]

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?

Maybe 3?

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?

It's long since lost its importance in procreation to him. He's done more than his fair share of adding to the population at this point. So for him, it's largely a bonding experience and expression of love, and, when obliged to marry, an obligation to his wife's bloodline, rather than his own.
[Meridian: Aside from being an expression of love, sex with Armaros is a celebration of their shared immortality, and their newfound freedom in never having to lose again.]
[Animus: His libido has been greatly diminished by stress and emotional trauma. Sex isn't really on the radar right now.]

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

He loves lots of kissing and cuddling, and will often do these, himself. He loves having his neck kissed or lightly bitten, even lightly scratching it works. Lots of affection before, during, and after is key. He has a tendency to constantly ensure that his partner is comfortable (particularly if they've never done whatever they're doing before), likely making a few impatient.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

He's a Libra, and fits it extremely well.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?

Yes, and this is extremely important to him - his piety is one of his defining traits.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

He doesn't like holding grudges or ill will, and won't kill a man aside from self-defense or defense of another. He isn't violent by nature. To compromise it, it would take an incredible catalyst. I can't even imagine what such a catalyst could be, though. Never under any circumstances bring a child to harm. Same goes for angels and the people who have found a special place in his heart.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

He's come to see other beliefs as simply the product of evolution adapting the way humans interact with the truth. He may disagree with some aspects of other religions, but is a mix of tolerant, curious (always curious!), and indifferent depending on the situation and his current disposition.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

If you deal in The Darkness, and this is apparent, he will be wary of you. Of course, given that vileness is a substance made to generate corruption and suffering, he has quite a good reason for this.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

Not applicable. He generally only has what he needs because money has become irrelevant to his life.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?

Originally: A scribe and priest.
In Heaven: A scribe working on the Council, under Lucifel.
On the search: A traveler.
In the Tower: A threat and enemy to the Watchers and their followers, a savior to the Freemen.

Though he's gone from a position of relative authority (a priest), to one of a relative lack of it, he's more affected overall by the disparity between his age and appearance. He feels he has seniority over the majority of the people that he meets, but socially, he must defer to those that appear older than he is, and this can be aggravating.
[Meridian: Outsider, Zeph's mark, slightly boosted.]
[Animus: Test subject, along with whatever having a blue collar counts for. The shift from having some power and leverage in his life to being a prisoner and finding every option for escape thwarted hasn't been good for his confidence. He's having trouble mustering up the drive to actually work towards the ambitions stated above, feeling defeated. Learning what he does from the Something Unexpected event may take him out of this low.]

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

Nowhere. The last place he could hope to call home is Heaven.
[Meridian: A house that he and Armaros have settled in. At first, it was only shelter in his mind, but he's come to think of it as a home, and he keeps it in good condition.]
[Animus: Room 3-18, with roommates. It's safety, but it's too much the replacement of his home in Meridian, so he'll often spend all day away from it. However, after his return to Meridian's ruins, he's a little more comfortable there, but still wanders the tower out of habit.]

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

Nothing.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

I'm sure he enjoyed his work as a priest and scribe, both on Earth and in Heaven. Though the duties he performed in Heaven were under quite a bit of stress at times, Enoch is the type that loves to make himself useful, and he stated in the character interview that he would like to return to these duties. Far be it from him to deny a Heaven-appointed task!

While on the search, he would be likely to perform odd jobs when the need to settle and wait for information or gather supplies was needed. He was probably one of very few literate people in any given settlement, so his work as a scribe would come in handy no matter what.
[Animus: He's working the job of gravekeeper, and it is distressing if not outright triggering. He's seen punishment for it multiple times, and between that and recent developments, is a little stronger in attending it.]

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

He shows himself to have enough enthusiasm for song and dance to get absorbed in them when he gets started. Likely, he would spend his time learning and inquiring about anything that interested him, or sparring with an available partner, or simply having a conversation. He may also have something of a love of adrenaline - would he like an opportunity to ride a motorcycle without the life-or-death element, someday?

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

He eats when he's hungry, though when settled he'll gladly adopt a routine. Of note is that he's learned to suppress his own gag and vomit reflexes for the sake of survival.
[Meridian: He has settled into a three-meal day, with a regular diet.]
[Animus: He eats two meals a day and may drink heavily if the option becomes available for the cafeteria, depending on his mood. It's incredibly hard for him to get drunk, so it isn't for trying so much as it an attempt at comfort, if the drink in question is wine.]
