[Warnings]: none? really vaguely alluded to death, I guess [Dream Effects]: a strong sense of warmth, comfort, and contentment, followed by a sharp sense of loss that may linger after the dream ends
*there’s a slight delay before he actually answers, and he’s clearly a bit off guard-he didn’t realize this had posted and he’s unsure how to respond to a stranger who’s seen something so private-but finally he opts for just acting normally* Yeah. *he gives a somewhat wan smile, but it gets more steady as he continues* I’m a pirate! …not just any pirate, but a great captain to boot!
*he nods, slowly. he knows about Ohara, of course, but no details, and it's not really the kind of thing you can just ask someone about. he's not really sure he wants to know; it seems too private. still, he can tell Robin is trying to reach out to him in her own way, and he appreciates it. he's just not quite sure how to proceed. it's a delicate subject, to say the least*
...yeah, I know. *a pause, and a subtle expression of uncertainty passes over his face* You don't have to talk about it if you don't want, though. I'm okay, really.
*his grin widens at that* You met Sanji? Yeah, of course I know him! He's on my crew! I'm probably his best friend; I bet he mentioned me, right? Usopp?
That's exactly what we're doing! Uh, me and the rest of my crew, I mean. *his brow furrows a little* Well. Not here obviously. Back home.
[Sanji’s morning routine lately, before heading down to the kitchen to start cooking, involves checking his Dreamberry while having his first smoke of the day, so that’s exactly what he’s doing now before he’s even managed to drag himself out of bed. And he wasn’t actually planning on watching all of Usopp’s dream when he came across it-too much of an invasion of shitty privacy-but then his mom showed up and Sanji’s curiosity got the better of him. Oops.
He turns the Dreamberry off when the dream is done, kind of staring blankly down at the screen, then glances across to Usopp’s bed where the other boy is still sleeping.
Hmm...Usopp’s usually up early enough. And it won’t kill Luffy if breakfast is a little late.
So Sanji settles back on his bed, leaning his head back against the wall, and waits for Usopp to wake up.]
When you live with Sanji, the smell of cigarette smoke gets to be a very familiar one, so it's not unusual that it's the first thing Usopp notices when he wakes up. What is unusual is how strong it is; by the time Usopp gets up every morning, Sanji is normally long gone to start breakfast, leaving only the lingering ghost of smoke hanging in their room. He rolls over and cracks an eye, and sure enough, Sanji's still there, sitting on his bed across the room, and Usopp assumes it must be earlier than he thought--but no, by the look of the early morning light streaming through their window, it's the usual time. "Morning," Usopp manages to get out before yawning, and sits up in bed, giving Sanji a quizzical look. "Running late today?"

[was kind of lost in thought and blinks over at Usopp, just noticing he's awake, and then shrugs]
Nah, just being slow.
[exhales slowly, stubbing out at his latest cigarette in the ashtray on his bedside table, and then tilts his head curiously at Usopp -- he knows it was just a dream and people usually get over those pretty quickly, or forget them altogether come morning, but this is different and kinda weird since he actually saw it, so he can't help asking-]
Usopp shrugs. Fair enough; Sanji's entitled to a little break sometimes if he feels like it. He kicks off the covers and swings his legs out of bed, sitting the rest of the way up. There's a sort of nervous energy in the room, and Usopp's not really sure why, but it's making him uneasy. Then Sanji asks if he's okay, and he's not only uneasy, but confused to boot, wondering if he's missing something important. "I'm okay," he answers, a little cautiously, trying to remember if there's a reason he shouldn't be.

[Zoro doesn't know much about moms, and the feeling of having one is-strange. But...nice.
Loss, though. Loss he does know, and when he opens his eyes in the morning, though the details of Usopp's dream are already growing faint around the edges, the sharp ache lingers.
It's a while before he picks up his Dreamberry and sends a message, in text.]
You could carve those ships, sometime. For when you go back home.

*...so that's another nakama who saw it. he's really not surprised at this point; once Sanji showed him the video post on network it seems sort of inevitable. he thinks for a moment before replying, wondering why Zoro zeroed in on that particular detail*
yeah, i guess i could try at least. models might be fun.
[Encompassing everything they've been through and achieved, handing it over with a 'here. see?' to someone who left before they could witness it themselves-that's what's sticking with him.
*still not sure he gets it, but it seems like there's more behind it than just a suggestion for a pastime. Zoro's much harder to read without seeing his body language*
i'd have to get some carving tools. do you think it's hard?

You've traveled around on a ship? [He's never seen the ocean before.]

So you're a pirate, too?

Too? Do you know many pirates? ...but, yeah, I'm a pirate! In fact, I'm the one and only mighty Captain Usopp!

Oh? That must be exciting. I'd like to go out on a ship with my friends and explore the sea.
