Wow, I keep forgetting about this damn thing. I used to post once a day in here I think for years. Now it's all reduced to a status on Facebook. I realized I never did go back to see too many of my old entries, though some of them were classic and some were creepy premonitions too that came true as well.
So what's happened since my last post? No clue it's been so damn long ago. Eastern Europe rocked. Loved Slovakia. Austria and Hungary were cool too, though rained too much in Budapest when I was there.
Had a really sorrowful feeling flying over England because 9 years ago I was there on my return trip from India and managed to get food poisoning the day I landed and ate at McDonalds at Picadilly Square. Brilliant. Screwed up my entire trip. I was on my 3rd beer pub hopping that evening (ate it at lunch) and the started feeling it and then catching the wrong tube and ended up like a heroin adict sitting there sweating and looking like hell death zombie man and people looking at me like I was a junkie. Barfed all over Whitechapple bathrooms across from the station and living hell trying to get back to my hotel in Earls Court. That was day one of 3. Rest of the time was spent throwing up and horrible pains and crap. Day 3 I was able to wander around and get light food in my stomach, just in time to leave the next day.
So flying over England twice on my last trip to Europe a month ago, I was really sad and depressed seeing it below me. So I said screw it. Bought me a 4 day trip to London this Thanksgiving. So it's the same time as 9 years ago, my hotel isn't the same now so I decided not for Earls Court, but around Victoria Station as it's more central. No freaking McDonalds or any meat on this trip for me other then chicken maybe. Lots of Indian food there so veggitarian shouldn't be an issue.
Got so many sources from my book and other places of history from the Sex Pistols, so going to be going all over London seeing where Johnny was born, Steve grew up, where they first recored, the old SEX (Vivian's Worlds End now), where Johnny and Sid lived and have many photos of, plus a slew of other locals all over London. It'll be like my own scavanger hunt. Only bad thing is none of my punk oi bands are playing in town while I'm there which totally sucks. So might go see the West Ham United play in East London on the Sat night. Who knows, all I know is it's been 9 freaking years too long and now that I've been single and marriage free, I'm able to do things again that I never thought I would ever be able to do anymore.
Less then one month, and I'm coming back England, be warned...
