So, it's a minor thing really, but it keeps bugging in my head. When I left for vacation, there was a small, marbled angelfish in my aquarium. Upon return, I have seen no sign of said angelfish. Not even a piece of a carcass. The house sitter said he found no dead fish while there, but I doubt he looked very close. Still, you'd think I'd at least find a skeleton. I also seem to be missing my otto. He sometimes disappears, but usually not for a whole week. I gotta admit, the attrition rate in there now is pretty disappointing. Also disappointing? I can't seem to keep the pH levels from spiking. Of course, that could be a side effect of fish dying and not being found/removed. The ammonia levels are still well controlled, but the pH goes up. Hmm.
Anyway, the vacation on Chincoteague Island, Virginia was a hit. Parents got their portrait and were happy with it (yay!) and I got to meet the newest niece and spend some time with all the nieces and nephews as well as siblings and parental units. Life is good.
