Those pesky insurance/UPD guys...

Well, school is now back in session, this being the 3rd week, first full week. Classes are going well, and unlike last semester, I've got a good feeling about the semester. For some reason, Spring semester felt all crappy. I'm not sure why, but it just did. I managed to do well overall. I've got to retake a class, but I might end up doing better the second time around.

I'm attempting Spanish again. It's been over 3 years since I last took a Spanish class, and lately (at least before the semester), I've seen words in regular life that I know that I know, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember. The class I thought I wanted to get back in to was at the same time as one of my other classes, so I decided I'd try to do my best at 201 even though I've been out a while. Taking a 102 level class would have been good at reintroduction, even though I've already passed that level. Well, when I showed up for class, I seemed to be in the same boat as a good majority of my classmates. For now, it's pretty much just basic review...I'm sure we'll get into the more intense stuff later (the stuff I'm learning now is what I learned in 102. I'm sure that this will be a better attempt in this level Spanish since in my last attempt, I got a new teacher who wasn't really liked, and who also seemed too advanced in his teaching than the course level he was supposed to be teaching.

Yesterday was quite an interesting day at work, well at least toward the end. I was helping the mom of one of the kids in my class by bringing out her daughter's car seat. There happened to be one of those child safety seat inspection days sponsored by one of the local insurance agents. On hand were some of the police officers from JSU to help make sure everything was up to par. As we reach the mom's car, one of the insurance agents comes up to us all matter-of-factly, and then asks "Okay, which one of you is the mom?" Obviously, it was rather awkward. I simply replied that I only worked there and was helping the mom bring the car seat out. I'm glad he was just doing the job he was supposed to do, but that was a little overkill.

This weekend- I'll be going to Auburn to the AU-Miss. St. game. I was looking at my calendar this past weekend and decided that it's high time I do something fun and un-school/work related. I haven't been to an AU game in a few years, so it should be a fun time, not to mention, it'll be my first time seeing my sister march in the band, even though this will be her third year marching.
