Auburn Fun
Well this past weekend I found myself in Auburn and had a great time hanging out, it felt like old times again rather than the awkward, old person feeling I got last time I was there in February.
I went to the Symphonic Band concert, the first one I had ever been to lol (not counting Sounds of Auburn), and it was pretty good. I had nothing better to do because Patrick was playing in it and Annie was working. It was great to see all of the brothers and some other people, and I especially felt welcome because it was totally unexpected to see me there (didn't tell many people I was coming down for the weekend) and a lot of people seemed happy to see me.
After that I started playing poker with the old poker crew when I got a phone call from Annie, who was crying on the other end. Someone broke into her condo. Her room was totally f-ed up and some of her and Liz's stuff was taken, important things too, like laptops with schoolwork and this is the last week of school now. Devastating.
Needless to say, Annie was pretty shaken up by that and stayed at Patrick's that night. The rest of the weekend I tried to make her laugh a lot to get her mind off of it, and was really successful, in fact we all drove around town and would scream out of the window "Give back the laptop!!!" to random people. She liked that. The weekend ended up being a ton of fun.
Saturday Patrick had another party where I had the chance to meet some of the new piccolos from this past fall who had heard of me. That was good fun there. We went to IHOP and saw Meet the Robinsons on Sunday. That movie is great, you should all go see it. I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised.
It was just nice to have fun again and hang out with my best friends for a weekend and actually enjoy being stupid and goofing off incessantly again. It was a great relief.
Now today at work I started a workout plan for myself which I think will be pretty easy to maintain. See, there is a gym at the office and the facilities are pretty good and since I get off of work so dang early (I'm generally able to get out of there at 3:30), what reason do I have not to go spend an hour down there after I'm done with work for the day? I'm already there so it's easy and convenient, and I have nothing to come home to, so what reason do I have to be home early? lol. It's going to be good, I need this big time.
