A Mismatched Trio

This... I almost feel bad about posting this. I spoke to one of them and he was very nice. But... well, just take a look.

I discovered these three at a picnic table on Darkmoon Isle. As I've said before, RP is rare on my server, so I sat and watched. Might have joined in... until I saw their flags.

This paladin... her description is completely negated by the simple act of carrying on a civil (even friendly) conversation with the other two.

Accent has a touch of Gilnean. Not especially bad, though I can't imagine how one as young as her develops that. The sixth sense bordering on psychic power, and the pyrokinesis, though... Priests have some "psychic" spells, but I don't think that qualifies them as terran Ghosts. And "possibly other abilities unknown to her" tells me she left it open so she can add more super-special-awesomeness later. And she says "Gilnean countrymen" as if she was actually from Gilneas, which in itself is not a bad thing. But she picked the one class they don't have in Gilneas. You can be a Gilnean unaffected by the curse, that's fine, I have no problem with that. But keep in mind they've been behind a wall since the Second War. There are limits.

Then we come to the Psychology part. In her Personality section, she mentions losing faith in the Light, but then here, she flips it and says her belief borders on zealotry. She also has a burning hatred for all things undead, yet she was chatting (and even offering aid) to a Death Knight and his... *sigh* warlock wife. More on that in a moment.

I'm sorry, sister, but the Universal Mary Sue litmus test is not a checklist. Setting aside the fact that she contradicts herself in regards to Lordaeron and Gilneas (which at 24 she likely shouldn't even have seen), she is not just a noble, she is a high-ranking officer of the Argent Crusade. Then there's... *sigh* Tirion Fordring. She's just so damn good that the leader of the Crusade himself noticed her. And specifically has a high standing with several important factions.

I wanted to like these people, I did. They seemed nice. Thankfully the the other two aren't so much over-the-top, walking neon signs, as they are RL lovers who picked odd classes and then wrote an awkward reason for their life together. There wasn't much written on their Bio pages so I didn't save them.

"...still carries a forsaken-like appearance..." Um... what? She... USED TO BE forsaken?

I was dead. Then I got better.
I asked her boyfriend/husband if she was openly a warlock. He said she belongs to a special section of the SW Guard and is exempt. That... Ugh. Moving on.

He uses his blood magic to appear alive. Okay, that's reasonably feasible I suppose. The hair and teeth are slightly less understandable, since blood doesn't exactly matter to those parts. Dead should be dead. This is actually the least "WTF?" of the three, and the last bit made me laugh. Then....

So, to sum up: You have a public warlock married to a death knight, having a pleasant conversation with a peacocking paladin who in all honesty should be attempting to slay one or both of them. Then you find out what they're talking about and it becomes downright absurd. The warlock is pregnant with the DK's child (he explained to me that due to an apparent high standing with the Bronze Dragonflight, he was allowed to go back in time to when he was alive and extract his DNA... I didn't pry further.), and the paladin is talking about some kind of warding spell. I was too busy with their flags to get the whole thing, but it seemed to have something to do with alcohol (..?) and a mage, and I think the warlock "being able to use her magic." Also... something about Blue dragons... I don't know. I was done watching by that point

perfectly preserved undead, look at moi, yer doin it wrong, game logic, babies, yer doing it wrong, lore crushing, controversial statement, look at me, flagrsp, silly name, a wizard did it, noble, necrophilia, lolwhut, beloved peasant village, not a warlock, failadin, death knight, underweight, guild
