"This is supposedly an Emo statement, now it's not like he's off cutting himself in a fucking corner. He's a troubled character who has been living under a cloud of shame and regret in basically a hospital filled with the elderly and those too sick or young to fight and those who managed to somehow escape being turned all ebil by Gul'Dan."

He practicly was cutting himself in a corner. The only thing keeping him alive was the greatmother. He didn't care when the ogres were killing everybody. When you finally save them, all he can say is "whatever".

It takes a crapload of emo to live with some one for, what, 15 years? and just not care when they're being slaughtered. I understand he was ashamed of his father and his people, but he didnt see anything good in them even once in all those years? I can see him always being wary that the blood lust may come out in his people or himself, but this? Just watching his people die with apathy?

"Once he actually meets Thrall and finds out that it was the blood curse that caused the blood lust and that his father wasn't such a dick and that the Orcs are actually striving to reclaim their lost honor he literally flips his shit. After which he goes, excuse the expression, balls deep in Orcish culture trying to be his father."

...and conveniently forgets that his father WILLINGLY drank the curse blood AGAIN. You would think that some one who lived in fear of the blood lust for so long would take a lesson out of this, but no, all past mistake are forgotten and erased and all that remains is "and he got better."

As I said, I am starting to like him a little more now that they are actualy making him a character, but I wont ignore and excuse blizzard's blatent use of him as a plot device in BC and Wrath. No matter what he becomes, even if he becomes my favorite character, I wont try to apply his current development to his previous use.

you can argue about what it must have been like for him in garradar and how it developed him when you see his current characterization in Cata, but it was clear that at the time of BC and Wrath, there was absolutly no reason for it.

He's never told about that. He's only given Thrall's bromance (no homo) version of the story. I am sure now he knows about Manneroth. But even so I'm not arguing that it's not bad writing I agree with the fact that it's bad writing however I can't take into context bad writing when I RP I have to try and understand what I can of a character given what information I am given if poorly done or not.

I think the term "Emo" is over used these days personally. tragedy is a part of life as is sorrow, regret, and apathy. I really do not think the interweb catchall of "Emo" really classifies Garrosh in any fashion but that's just me.

Thrall is a bromance pimp, imo. he's bromancing with Vol'jin, Garrosh, and was with Cairne. and maybe Saurfang. definitely had a bromance (with a little homo) with Grom. wtf is all dis.
