Forum RP - It's made of fail too!

So we've seen plenty of bad RSPs. We've also had lots of Wikicrap. We get a lot of Fanfics too. Oh, and then there's the terrible fanart, and licenced media like comics, novels and stoof. Now I'm going to add a new genre of crap to our record: Forum RP.

An anonymous minion linked me to a WoW RP forum, stating that "I'd find some good stuff in ( Read more... )

One singular night elf druid paladin? Improbable, but not impossible. One that's done it his whole life? Almost impossible, if not completely so.
Also, half-high half-blood? Aside from being chronologically impossible, wouldn't that combination of parents produce a plain ol' high elf? I mean, I'm willing to be corrected, but...
Lastly, where's the gnome love? Really?

The rest of this is just eh. But thanks for sharing!

I really hate it when people gank random internet images for their character's appearence.

I wouldn't completely toss out the idea of a Night Elf Paladin. We've already seen that a number of them are working closely with human Paladins sent to Kalimdor by the Alliance (such as the fellow stationed in Ashenvale, at Maestra's Post -- who seemed to have earned quite a good deal of respect on the part of the Night Elves there). I can see a more daring, curious or knowledge-seeking Night Elf attempting to understand the Holy Light through direct contact -- though it remains to be seen if they would be drawn in by the Light and then what kind of Paladin they would make, given that their background and overall outlook on life would be vastly different than that of a human or a dwarf ( ... )

Well, according to the ever-reliable WoWWiki, that's exactly what happened. A lot of half-orc half-human creatures came about through "violent and perverse" actions, though "not all half-orcs are born to abused or victimized parents". Either way, it's gonna look pretty Sue-ish...particularly if the character wanders around going "Why does everyone haaaaate meeeee?".

I thought the whole "everybody hates me and it sucks but oh well" was part of the reason for playing a half-orc. They'd have to work double-hard to prove themselves to the Horde (or Alliance, which may be actually harder). There's a lot of story in that - whether they soften or harden as they go to deal, who actually befriends them, who targets them for ridicule. Character development!

Of course, currently on every server we have DKs strolling through the Cathedral and ebil guilds regularly inducting recruits at graveyards and nobody eyeing the Forsaken and ohgod I've depressed myself...

Bearing in mind that, in turn, WoWWiki is taking said info from the RPG which is a less then reliable source at the best of times.

Death Knight Cammander

So the Lich King needs a video operator, huh? You'd think he would be able to use better than a camcorder...

haha, how convenient for that first guy that his character looks exactly like the human warrior figure released.
