My grandparents have a bunch of magnets that are in the shapes of different U.S. states on their fridge. The one of Kansa says "A State of Excitement". On it there is an image of a covered wagon, a settler woman and a pillar that, if I remember from my third grade project on KS correctly, denotes the geographic center of the continental United States. Excitement.
