too hot to leave my room...
I just got back from a "Networking Party" on campus for current exchange students to meet the Japanese students that will be going to their home universities this fall. I met a girl named Kairi, but Yasu (my classmate) didn't show up, nor did another girl who is coming to Iowa next semester, but maybe I'll get to meet her later. The best thing about this party though, and my main reason for going was the free food promised on the flyer - this "free food" turned out to be LEGIT American-style pizza from a company called Pizza California. I had four slices and called it a day. XD
Thursday was Suipara and there ended up being 12 of us, which was crazy but so much fun. Before that, Julia and I went into the city to run some shopping errands (I needed to buy sudoku!) and...I may have stumbled into PEACH JOHN and got a dress that's currently 2000yen off.
I don't know how long this awesome summer sale's going to last, but I don't get money until Friday and didn't want to risk it because this has been in my wishlist since its release. (ToT);; Plus, I tried it on and it fit and looked fantastic....I can't wait to wear it out. It's really rare for me to find dresses like this here, most of the time they're really high cut and not V-neck like this, but when they're a straight-cut across the chest area it looks kind of weird (=_=)
A few months ago when I was shopping with Jessica at Maruei I found this bag and fell in love with it:
This is definitely getting bought when I get my stipend. I see it's on sale at the website but the color I want is sold out. I don't remember if they were on sale in the store so I'm gonna go have to look. I think this brand is really cute in general. (>w<)
Oh, and I went to a soccer game on Saturday thanks to tickets I got from the teacher of my Toyota class! It was box-seat, complete with FREE FOOD and beer and I met the owner of the Nagoya Grampus soccer team and got to eat food and hang out with him even if I didn't talk to him much (o_o) I have some pictures that I'll try to post later.
I don't want to go to my first class today but I skipped it last week. =/ Technically, I had a five day weekend last week because I skipped Wednesday AND Thursday. Oopsies. I really gotta do my best to make it the next month - in fact, it is almost exactly one month until the last day of classes for me. I keep having dreams of being back at home. Time is going by so much slower now that I have no money, though. =(
